Where Cennet Bay Sits on the Peninsula

Cennet Bay, called Kissebükü by locals, is tucked into the Aegean-facing coastline between Karaincir and Aspat, on the quieter southwestern arm of the Bodrum Peninsula. It's not a beach you stumble onto by accident. The surrounding hills are covered in pine and low maquis scrub, and there's no town or resort strip nearby, which is exactly why the water stays so clear.

The bay is shaped like a narrow finger of sea pushing into the land, with a small tree-covered islet sitting almost in the middle of the entrance. At low points in the season, the gap between the islet and the shore is shallow enough to wade across, and this sandbar is one of the things that makes Kissebükü instantly recognizable in photos from boat tours.
